CARTA DASH Trolley

In addition to walking, CARTA DASH, a free shuttle service that runs from the Aquarium to campus, is also available. The 210 line (yellow) picks up and drops off at the corner of St. Philip and Calhoun Streets - in front of the Bell Building, in front of the Education Center on St. Philip Street, at the corner of Wentworth and Coming Streets - in front of Grace Episcopal Church, and also in front of Cougar Mall on Calhoun Street. Biking

Bike racks are available on site. Additionally, bikes can be checked in and out of the Stern Student Center on George Street through the College's Bike Share program. Use caution when biking to Harbor Walk and keep in mind city ordinances and laws. Biking on Calhoun Street is strongly discouraged.

If you are traveling from the School of Science and Mathematics, please use John and Chapel Street to access Harbor Walk, as pictured below:

Aquarium Garage Parking Permit

Aquarium Garage parking permits are available through Parking Services. The AG parking permit costs $300 per semester for students and $225 for employees and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Summer permits are also available. Garage permits allow vehicles to park on the fourth floor of the garage or higher only. Prices subject to change for each academic year.

Applications for permits are available online via parking accounts in MyCharleston. For more information regarding availability and eligibility, please visit parkingservices.cofc.edu.

Hourly Parking

The Charleston Aquarium Garage is conveniently located at 24 Calhoun Street, just steps away from Harbor Walk. The garage operates from 8:00 to 12:00 a.m. daily. Rates are as follows:

Each 30 minutes: $1.00

Daily maximum: $16.00

Event: $2.00 - $5.00
